Water Outlets & Inlets

Made of aluminum, steel, cast iron and thermoplastics

The water outlet and inlets connect the upper and lower radiator hoses to the engine covering the thermostat. Some of these parts have threaded holes or ports for temperature sensors and switches.

Thermostat Housings

Made of aluminum and thermoplastics

In some makes and models a thermostat housing is used. This part holds the thermostat and connects the water outlet or inlet to the machine. The housing may include extra ports for engine sensors and switches and is commonly made from thermoplastics, but can also be made of steel or aluminum.

Coolant Bypass Tubes and Flanges

Made of aluminum and thermoplastics

Many manufacturers are using thermoplastics parts to get the coolant in various locations of the engine and manage engine temperatures. Coolant tubes and flanges are placed around the top of the engine routing coolant to various locations, sometimes having multiple ports for sensors and switches. These parts may need replacement when the material becomes weathered or brittle.

Coolant Filler Necks

Made of aluminum and thermoplastics

Remote filler necks are located near the radiator or the top of the engine connected to the upper radiator hose. They connect the radiator hose to the engine and have a opening for the radiator cap. These parts may need replacement when the material becomes weathered or brittle.
